The No Scrubs music video: the silver space station
Hype Williams directed it in 1999: TLC in metallic suits inside a white and silver space station, dancing in front of huge TLC letters, rising up an elevator shaft, shot through fisheye lenses from the floor and the ceiling. It won the MTV VMA for Best Group Video, and the AI trend copies its opening shot for shot.

The set and the outfits
A futuristic space station: white walls, silver tubes, the TLC logo as giant letters. The three wear white, black, silver and blue suits; T-Boz has fuchsia hair and Chilli has scenes on a swing.
What the AI trend copies
The first 15 seconds of the cut TLC posted on TikTok: the letters, the elevator, the finger wag, the fisheye squat and the overhead shot, 12 shots in all (every shot listed).
